WHAT IS SURE-BOARD®

Sure-Board® is a patented Super Strong Wallboard composed of a steel sheet bonded to specified substrates that is installed on exterior or interior walls to provide impact resistance from wind-driven debris, while simultaneously creating a shear wall at points requiring shear. Sure-Board® with gypsum board has a smooth facing that integrates with standard gypsum board, for a smooth uninterrupted finish.  Sure-Board® requires no leveling and is ready for finishes. It lays flat on the stud surface with no sagging, leaving no surface irregularities. It is fastened to studs, as any other sheathing product. When Sure-Board® is used, there is no need for additional structural sheathing or tension strap braces that require costly and laborious effort.

 

Sure-Board® with cementuous board is a component of Wellbilt’s Sure-Board Wall Panel.

Sure-Board® can be manufactured in custom sizes from as small as a 4’x4’ board to as large as 4’x14’ or any size in between as a contiguous board depending on choice of substrate. Total board thickness will only be slightly thicker with steel attached.

The manufacturing process can be as little as one week or up to four weeks.

Sure-Board® is delivered strapped and palletized with moisture-sensitive materials, wrapped for protection from the elements.
