Improving Today's Construction Methods for the Future
Wellbilt was originally organized in an effort to develop timely, cost-effective and hurricane-resistant buildings. These buildings are ideal for Hurricane prone areas, especially for schools, homes, home-expansions and commercial buildings.
In order to meet our goal, a coalition of architects, design and field engineers were assembled with over 100 years of combined experience in the construction industry. After extensive research and development, the Sure-Board Wall Panel was created: a structural, load-bearing wall panel, which incorporates Sure-Board® in its structural design. The Sure-Board Wall Panel and wall system, received Florida State Product Approval and Miami-Dade County Hurricane Product Approval.
Buildings incorporating the Sure-Board Wall Panels are permanent, and are architecturally designed to meet the Florida Building Code requirements for High Velocity Hurricane Zones of 146mph sustained wind-loads with an additional 20% increase for gusts.
